Three years of success

In November 2016, Stephen Ha flew to Manchester to sign a three-year strategic partnership agreement with Manchester City F.C., making TECNO the official partner of the club for mobile phones and tablets. After three years, this partnership has proven a success, significantly boosting the brand recognition and reputation of TECNO Mobile under TRANSSION Holdings. TECNO has seen particularly exciting results in sales and brand influence.

Meanwhile, Manchester City F.C. has enjoyed unprecedented success on the field, racking up a growing number of achievements: in the 2017-18 season, under the leadership of Pep Guardiola, the club won the English Premier League with five games to spare to secure their fifth Premier League title. A number of new records have been set, both by the team and individual players.

TECNO and Manchester City F.C. are both pioneers in their respective fields. Manchester City is dedicated to providing football fans with exciting matches, while TECNO is committed to providing consumers with a superb user experience. Sharing a thirst for success, a dedication to the craft, a similar brand ethos, and common values, each side inspires the other to grow and improve.

Long-term commitment to emerging markets

No matter if it’s an exciting match or an amazing goal, it could not happen without teamwork, strategy, skill, faith, and a fighting spirit. These essential ingredients are part and parcel of the attraction of football. Similarly, the right strategy, an unwavering faith and a decade of hard work are the essential ingredients of a brand's appeal.

In this spirit, TRANSSION has been committed to setting down deep roots in emerging markets. From its foothold in Africa, TRANSSION has expanded to other emerging markets in South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. The company has two long-term product strategies: focusing on local consumers, and using local innovation to meet local market demand. These strategies motivate TRANSSION to work hard at solving the user’s pain points and provide value for consumers. As a long-term commitment, TRANSSION plans to continue to pursue mutual benefits in emerging markets.

Strategic meeting on global markets

The strategic meeting 2019 between TRANSSION and Manchester City F.C. looked to build on previous achievements and establish a solid base for future partnership. The two sides discussed future global partnerships and clarified business and branding goals. The visit of Ferran Soriano, the head of City Football Group, demonstrated the sincerity of Manchester City F.C. and the high regard with which it views TRANSSION. Going forward, TRANSSION will continue to establish its presence in emerging markets across the world to allow for greater communication with more consumers. Manchester City F.C. also intends to make emerging markets a key focus of its marketing strategy. We have plenty of reason to believe that the partnership between TRANSSION and Manchester City F.C. will continue to score new achievements and successes.
